SNA-HCMC is looking for an experienced IB MYP/DP SCHOOL LIBRARIAN to commence August 2025. Candidates should already have a minimum of at least 2 years experience.

The School Librarian is an information manager with integrated understandings of teaching and information resources needed by both teachers and students. As a result, knowledge of the curriculum, teaching strategies, inquiry and learning styles can be combined with knowledge of resource management, information services, personnel management and information access systems including information technology systems. This enables the IB School Librarian to undertake an active role in curriculum design, support and implementation. Working alongside the Education, Research, and Pedagogy Council (ERPC), teachers and students in the development, planning, exploration and assessment of units, facilitating an inquiry approach to learning is a key element in this role.
Job purpose
鈥� Collection Development (print and non-print material) for IB Curriculum for school stakeholders.
鈥� Organize Reading sessions and integrate them with a specific subject need.
鈥� Creating a library in which the right user gets the right information at the right time.
鈥� Inculcation of Reading habits among students.
鈥� Managing Primary and Senior School Library.
鈥� Organising Book Week in the whole school. Invite literacy coach,authors and run MYP exhibition and bring whole school together to celebrate Book Week.
Duties and responsibilities
鈥� To make sure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and knowledge.
鈥� To instill a love of learning and ensure equitable access to information.
鈥� Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to style and implement lessons and units of instruction by integrating some part of the research in library lessons.
鈥� Initiated Human Library, a library of people where difficult questions is expected and appreciated.
鈥� Support IB culminating projects aligned with the project coordinators.
鈥� Plan Weekly PYP lesson based on UOI.
鈥� Plan Academic Integrity session with teachers in the classroom settings.
鈥� Supervisor for Personal Project.
鈥� Extended Coordinator for Diploma Program.
鈥� Manage Library CCA.
